DEATH: WILLIAM ADAMS CLAIMED BY DEATH
William Adams, aged 76, died at 12:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, at his
home at Nottingham, after a long sickness, dating from early in the
summer. He had been confined to his bed three or four weeks, suffering
from infirmities, but the immediate cause of death was given as heart
disease.
The funeral will be held at ten o'clock Tuesday forenoon at the
Nottingham
church, in charge of the Rev. George Johnson, of Eaton, and
burial will be in Nottingham cemetery.
The decedent, William Adams, was a native of Monroe County, Ohio,
and he resided in Ohio during his early life, coming to Wells County about
forty
years ago, and having been a continuous resident of the county since.
He
had followed the occupation of a farmer.
He claimed in marriage, previous to coming to Well County, Miss
Margaret Fosnight, who survives. There also are four children living,
namely, John
W., living at the parental home, Elias E. Adams, of Keifer,
Oklahoma; Mrs.
Arla Pearl Chenoweth, wife of Aaron Chenoweth, of
Nottingham, and Miss
Margaret G. Adams, of Oregon. One son died in
infancy.
One brother and two sisters survive, John T. Adams, of Nottingham,
Mrs.
Margaret Gable, of Windsor, Ind., and Mrs. Hannah Thornburg, of
Bluffton.
The son living in Oklahoma arrived Sunday night, to attend the funeral.
